PRESS RELEASE - City Hosts Third Open House for Planning for the Healthier Together Aquatics Center Feasibility Study

PORT TOWNSEND, Washington – The City of Port Townsend will host Public Open House #3 to gather community feedback on the Healthier Together Aquatics Center Feasibility Study on Thursday, July 13, from 6 - 8:00 p.m. at Fort Worden Commons, 210 Battery Way, Port Townsend, WA 98368.  Please visit the City’s website for details on childcare and information on how to register.  An online version of the Open House will be held on Wednesday July 12 from 6 - 8:00 p.m.  The online link is available on the City’s website.  Please attend and share your ideas!

This study effort began in February 2023 as the initial step in providing long-term infrastructure and opportunities for improving community health and wellness by building on previous collaborative efforts and meeting the evolving needs of our community.  Opportunities to live an active and healthy life play a vital role in every community and the goal of this project is to reengage previous partners and the community to establish a health and wellness center with a modern aquatic’s component.  We are all healthier together!
