Discovery Road Bicycle Pedestrian Safety Project

Project Location

This project begins on Discovery Road at the intersection of McClellan Street and continues east to 100 linear feet beyond the intersection of Discovery Road and Sheridan Street.

This project will provide:

• Separated bicycle lanes
• Signing
• Pavement markings
• Thru- intersection bicycle lane markings
• Pedestrian and bicyclist mixing zone crossing improvements

Fiscal information: 

The City of Port Townsend has received 2022 City Safety Selections Federal Funding through the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP). With HSIP and Local Street Funds, the total project budget is $248,000 

Design Consultant:  The City is in contract negotiations with design firm, SCJ Alliance.
