Culture and Society Committee
The City Council Culture and Society Committee is working on two of the recommendations. First, it is drafting a City diversity, equity, and inclusion statement. Second, the committee will work on setting up a race and social justice advisory board.
Objectives/Desired Outcome(s)
The City desires to engage with all our residents regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or any other status. The City hopes that through this process, the City can hear from groups and individuals who have not chosen to engage with the City government through the more traditional paths.

Estimated Schedule
- June - August 2022: Culture and Society Committee meets to discuss the mission and make-up of the advisory board
- September 2022: City Council approves the mission and make-up of the advisory board
- October 2022: Advertising for membership
- November 2022: First meeting of the advisory board to formulate workplan
- December 2022: City Council approves the workplan
