Kearney Street & State Route 20 Compact Roundabout

WSDOT Kearney St & SR20 Roundabout Location

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) began constructing a new compact roundabout at the intersection of Kearney Street and State Route 20 (SR20) in the summer of 2023. This new roundabout is illustrated at the WSDOT’s website.

This WSDOT project is now open for traffic flow, but still has some aspects to be completed. Since we're all getting used to the new traffic pattern, please use extra caution through this area as drivers, bikers, and walkers are adjusting to the intersection. Striping and other aspects of the project will be completed in spring of 2024, as weather allows. Learn more about Roundabouts from WSDOT .

The City is partnering with WSDOT to make improvements to Kearney Street in front of Chase Bank and the Food Co-op using grant funding. The City grant funding will also pay for the installation of flashing lights for pedestrian safety across SR20 at the new roundabout.
