Downtown Pole Removal
We're about to undertake the final step in completing the Water Street Enhancement Project: removing the old poles. Water Street used to have overhead power. Thanks to the undergrounding partnership between the City and Jefferson County PUD, Century Link, and Wave, these poles will be removed starting Monday, July 20 at 7:00 am. The removal will last approximately 5 days. Parking on Water Street between Taylor Street and the Ferry Terminal will be impacted on one side of the street and one block at a time. Sidewalks and bus stops will remain open throughout the work. We thank business owners and the public for their patience and help in making the Downtown Historic District an even better place!
