The project area is located between McClellan Street and 100 feet east of Sheridan Street on Discovery Road/19th Street. Construction started on July 13th and is progressing toward completion in late August before school starts on September 1, 2026. Paving will be completed on August 10-11, 2026.

- Tuesday, August 11th: Top lift paving from Grant Street through the 19th / Sheridan Intersection
Traffic Control:
Road detours will be in effect on Tuesday, August 11th, while the intersection of 19th and Sheridan is closed for paving. Detours will provide marked routes around the intersection. There will be message boards, signs, and flaggers that will help direct traffic. Impacts to bus or transit routes/stops have been coordinated with those agencies with advance notice. The City asks that all motorists drive slowly near the work zone and in the surrounding area as a courtesy to neighbors/construction workers and for safety. Please see attached graphic of detour routes.
Access for Residents:
All adjacent residents will have access to their driveways. Any work at driveways will be coordinated directly with the resident using the driveway.
