CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND SMALL WORKS ROSTER
The Small Works Roster is an alternative bid process used for projects up to $350,000. The City notifies at least five (5) contractors in the applicable category about the bid opportunity.
Port Townsend may use the limited small works process for projects between $15,000 and $50,000. The City must notify at least three (3) contractors in the applicable category.
The City of Port Townsend participates in the shared rosters maintained by Municipal Research Services Center (MRSC). MRSC is a fee-based service for all participants that is charged annually. Contractors have the option to register at no charge for individual agency rosters.
BENEFITS OF THE MRSC ROSTER:
- Agencies share costs
- Allows ease of electronic search and notification
- Promotes efficiency in government
- Provides access to a much larger selection of contractors and/or consultants
- Provides a single application process for contractors and/or consultants
- Provides more and lower bids from qualified contractors and/or consultants
- Reduces the need to register with multiple agencies
