Project Location

This Project has four locations:

  • Tyler Street between Lawrence Street and Jefferson Street
  • 9th Street  between McPherson and Hancock Street
  • Lawrence and Tyler Street Intersection
  • Mountain View Commons: Blaine Street and Walker Street

This project will provide:

  • Tyler Street Overlay: Curb Ramps and road resurfacing and striping
  • 9th Street: New sidewalk on the north side of the street
  • Lawrence and Tyler: new Curb Ramps on the NW and SW corners of intersection
  • Mountain View Commons: new Curb Ramps and raised crosswalk

Fiscal Information:

The City of Port Townsend has received a Transportation Improvement Board (TIB) grant for the Tyler Street Overlay portion of this project under the Pavement Preservation Program. This TIB grant is for an amount up to $379,354, plus a City match for a total project budget of $445,000 for design and construction. The other three locations, 9th Street, Lawrence Street and Mountain View, are funded by the City using 2022 Banked Capacity and local Storm Fund budgets. For those three locations, the project design and construction budget totals $302,500
