The City is updating the City’s General Sewer Plan with the objective of evaluating capital investment needs and prioritizing them. The plan update will consider the following elements.
- Collection system replacement program incorporating video inspection data to prioritize replacement, slip-lining, or other rehabilitation approaches.
- Review existing studies concerning service area and sewer extension. Assist in policy development.
- Review Wastewater Treatment Plant operations and make recommendations for future upgrades including plant rehabilitation, expansion, nutrient removal, and water re-use. The objective is to identify the next logical investments including purchase of property.
- Review the Compost/Biosolids Facility and make recommendations for rehabilitation and expansion.
- Assist the city in prioritizing capital investments for a rate study model update to be performed by the City PW and Finance Department.
