Regional Stormwater Facility

Stormwater Facility

This project included construction of a regional stormwater facility to serve commercial, light manufacturing and mixed-use properties in the  Upper Sims Way area including the recently completed Rainier Street corridor. This facility will also serve residential development in the vicinity of the Rainier Street roundabout.

This project includes an infiltration pond with storage capacity of 177,004 cubic feet. To convey stormwater runoff to the pond from the benefited area, approximately 1,600 linear feet of 18-inch diameter pipe will be installed from an existing stormwater pond located south of Sims Way at the southern end of Rainier St. Portions of the conveyance pipe route involve steep slope areas regulated under the City's Critical Areas code (PTMC 19.05).

Seton Construction out of Port Townsend was the contractor for this project.
