INVITATION TO BID: Lawrence Street Multimodal Improvements
Project Description: The Lawrence Street Multimodal Improvements Project includes the following work: full-depthreclamation (FDR) of travel lanes, add cement treatment to the travel lanes FDR, and pave the travel lanes FDR with HMA asphalt; reshape the FDR of the bike lanes and pave the bike lanes with HMA asphalt; remove existing sidewalk, curb ramps, and curbs; construct concrete curbs, curb ramps, and sidewalk, furnish and install detectable warning surfaces and detectable warning strip; construct stormwater conveyance pipes and catch basins; rain garden planting areas with permeable rock and underdrains; landscape planting (City-furnished plants); pavement markings; permanent signing; and project temporary traffic control, portable message signs, and road-closure detours.
Engineer’s Estimate: The Engineer’s Estimate for the project is approximately $3.6 million.
Schedule: The project shall be completed within 140 working days.
Bid Date: Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Port Townsend, at the Front Desk located at City of Port Townsend, City Hall, 250 Madison St., Suite 1, Port Townsend, WA 98368 until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday July 23, 2026.
The City of Port Townsend reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive informalities in the Bidding.
Bid Deposit: The Local Agency Proposal shall be accompanied by a Local Agency Proposal Bond deposit in accordance with Washington State Department of Transportation Standard Specification Section 1-02.7.
