Port Townsend Golf Course

Golf Course Map

The Port Townsend Golf Course is located at 1948 Blaine Street and is a regulation length 9- hole golf course with a driving range, putting green, and chipping area. The golf course is beloved by local golfers, used by local organization and service clubs for fundraising events, and is used by the Port Townsend High School golf and cross-country teams.

The Port Townsend Golf Course was developed in 1904 and originally operated as a private golf course. It was converted in 1927 to a public course and was first administered by Jefferson County. Today, the golf course is owned by the City and operated by Tonan Golf Shops, LLC.

A small area within Port Townsend Golf Course, called the Kah Tai Prairie, remains as a colorful relic of the last ice age.  The remnant 1.4 acre prairie has been the focus of preservation and restoration by Olympic Chapter of the Washington Native Plant Society since it was recognized as unique botanical site in 1986. The Kah Tai prairie is located within the Port Townsend Golf Course and is open to the public to enjoy. (www.wnps.org/op-projects/kah-tai-prairie
