A small area within the golf park is called the Kah Tai Prairie. The remnant 1.4 acre camas prairie has been the focus of preservation and restoration by Olympic Chapter of the Washington Native Plant Society since it was recognized as unique botanical site in 1986. The Kah Tai prairie is located within the Port Townsend Golf Park and is open to the public to enjoy. Learn more here: www.wnps.org/op-projects/kah-tai-prairie
Lastly, the golf park is also a stop on the čičməhán Trail, an interpretive trail throughout the city that chronicles the history of the S'Klallam people and the European settlers as they worked to co-exist. The sculpture entitled "Sentinel Rock" is near the entrance to the golf park and is open to the public.
