Bronze Sculpture Gerard Tsutakawa apprenticed with his father, late George Tsutakawa for 20 years. Since this early apprenticeship including many major public works, he has established himself in his own right, first exhibiting in 1976. Gerard designs and fashions studio bronze sculptures for private collections as well as large public art fountains and sculptures. Past Sculpture projects include the "Urban Peace Circle Memorial" at Sam Smith Park in 1994, a collaboration with the "Stop the Violence Committee" where Tsutakawa contributed a 10' bronze sculpture to the City of Seattle, in memory of youth who have died by handgun violence.

In 1999, Tsutakawa created the iconic "Mitt" sculpture for the Seattle Mariners Baseball Stadium and in 2000 the "Fountain of Seseragi" at the Seattle Center. Other work includes the Entrance Gates for Seattle Park's Kubota Garden and the Washington Park Japanese Garden, the "Annie Curtis" sculpture at the Port of Anacortes, "Uzumaki Curve" in St Louis, MO, and the "Thunderbolt" at Union Plaza in downtown Seattle WA.
