Arts Grants

The Port Townsend Arts Commission is dedicated to supporting arts that have a recognized quality and significant connection to the City.

Did you know that the Port Townsend Arts Commission provides the only dedicated source of funds to artists and arts organizations in Jefferson County? Because PTAC grants are highly competitive, we encourage you to seek additional sources of funding for your work as well. Here are a couple of regional sources that may be a good fit for your project:

Washington State Arts Commission (ArtsWA): https://www.arts.wa.gov/grants-to-organizations/

Jefferson Community Foundation (JCF): https://jcfgives.org/grants-and-fundraising-support/

Artist Trust: https://artisttrust.org/grants/

Applying for a Grant

PTAC has $30,000 to distribute in grant support in 2026. Because grants must be expended by the end of the calendar year, it has weighted the earlier rounds with more available funding to account for the longer timeline for projects to occur. If you are ready to apply, you may apply in any round regardless of when during 2026 your project takes place.
