Arts Grants

The Port Townsend Arts Commission is dedicated to supporting arts that have a recognized quality and significant connection to the City.

Did you know that the Port Townsend Arts Commission provides the only dedicated source of funds to artists and arts organizations in Jefferson County? Because PTAC grants are highly competitive, we encourage you to seek additional sources of funding for your work as well. Here are a couple of regional sources that may be a good fit for your project:

Washington State Arts Commission (ArtsWA): https://www.arts.wa.gov/grants-to-organizations/

Jefferson Community Foundation (JCF): https://jcfgives.org/grants-and-fundraising-support/

Artist Trust: https://artisttrust.org/grants/

Applying for a Grant

The Commission will review funding applications three times in 2025, see schedule below. The Application for Financial Support, Funding Guidelines, and Frequently Asked Questions have been updated in 2025. Please read and follow the new guidelines carefully and note the new deadlines for submission of materials. Applications submitted after the deadline will be referred to the following grant round, if applicable.
