Project Name: Kanu Drive Lift Station Replacement and Cleveland and 3rd Street Stormwater Improvements

Project Description:  The project consists of the construction of approximately 190 feet of 8” PVC gravity sewer main to provide for the demolition and removal of an existing sewer lift station, related appurtenances and a force main.  Additional work includes:  installation and tying-in of side-sewers to two existing homes, installation of a new Type 1 manhole, restoration of pavement around the new manhole, restoration of the grass through the vacant lot, stormwater facility in Cleveland Street and the relocation of water meters, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications.

Schedule:  The Project shall be substantially completed within 30 working days.

Engineer’s Estimate: $68,951

Bid Date:  Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Port Townsend, at the City Clerk’s Office located at City of Port Townsend, 250 Madison St., Suite 2, Port Townsend, WA 98368 until 2:00pm on April 24, 2014.

The City of Port Townsend reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waiver informalities in the Bidding.

Bid Bond:  All Bid Proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such Bid Proposal. Should the successful Bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory bonds to perform the Work within the time stated in the Specifications, the Bid Proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Port Townsend.

Bid Documents:  Plans, specifications, addenda, and plan holders list for this project will be available on-line through Builders Exchange of Washington, Inc. by going to www.bxwa.com. Click on “Posted Projects”, “Small Public Works Roster”, “City of Port Townsend”, “Projects Bidding”, and “Project Bid Date”. Bidders must “Register as a Bidder”, in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to be placed on the “Bidders List”. This service is provided free of charge to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors bidding this project. Bid Results

The Port Townsend City Council will be accepting bids for City requirements for the supply and delivery of water and wastewater treatment chemicals until 3:00 pm Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the City of Port Townsend Clerk’s Office, 250 Madison St #2  Port Townsend, WA 98368.  Any bids received after the specified time and date will not be considered.

Each bid must be submitted on the prescribed forms.  For Bid Forms and additional information, please call Catherine McNabb at the City of Port Townsend Public Works Department at
 (360) 379-5089or request a bid packet via email cmcnabb@cityofpt.us or download a bid packet off this site.

If a copy of the bid packet is downloaded you must email Catherine McNabb at cmcnabb@cityofpt.us to be included on the bidders list and receive any addendums, if any,  to the bid document.

The City of Port Townsend reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive any irregularities.
